It is mandatory for the presenters to be registered members of the AOMSI (LM/SLM/Temp Member).
Only those registered as delegate for the 46th national Conference of AOMSI will be permitted to present.
The necessary links for abstract and final submissions for prize paper, free paper and e-poster presentations will be provided. Kindly follow the link.
Time limit for prize paper and free paper - For Delegates : 8+2 Minutes, For PG Paper 6+2 Minutes (selected papers from mid term conference) and For Poster 3+2 Minutes.
Abstract submission for free and prize paper to be done via link provided
Title - should be accurate and concise, not exceeding 15 words.
The abstract must be in IMRD(Introduction, Methodology,Research& Discussion) format (maximum word limit = 250 words, font style - Times New Roman - 14)
Introduction - should describe the implications and rationale behind the study/ technique, controversies or gaps in existing knowledge can be described to defend the study objectives.
Aims and Objectives - should be specific and achievable; should give a clear notion of what is to be described, determined, identified, compared and confirmed.
Material and Methods - should include an in depth description of how the study was carried out including study design, sample size and selection criteria, data collection, statistical analysis and ethical considerations.
Results - should summarize the observations supplemented by tables / figures.
Discussion - should provide interpretation of the results and be supported with appropriate references.

All submitted e-poster abstracts will be scrutinized by a panel and only 100 selected e-poster abstracts will be eligible for presentation of final e-poster.

All e-posters will be scrutinized in every core area of Maxillofacial Surgery by a selected jury.

Introduction - to contain background, knowledge gap in previous literature.
Aims and Objectives
Methods - should include an in depth description of how the study was carried out including study design, sample size and selection criteria, data collection, statistical analysis and ethical considerations.
Results - should summarize the findings of the study with observations supplemented by tables / figures.
Discussion - should focus on aims, study parameters/ criteria, related studies with correlations, complications / adverse effects and management, confounding variables and limitations, future scope of the study.
Conclusion - to be brief and relevant.
References - ONLY TWO to be added.
Format - for case reports and reviews.

Scientific Presentations may be done as Oral Presentation(Delegates) or as E-Poster (Delegates & Postgraduate trainees). Submission of abstracts must follow the guidelines listed by the scientific committee.
ORAL PRESENTATION
Guidelines for Oral Presentations will be notified in the acceptance letters. Abstracts which are not selected for Oral Presentation may be eligible for a Poster Presentation.
E-poster Presentations are electronic display of scientific content. The poster display is an integral part of the conference and will be available to access within the Conference Hall. Full details of the poster format will be detailed in the notifications which would be sent to presenting authors.
All E-posters will be judged and prizes awarded (no separate prize category for e posters).
Only the presenting author gets certificate.
Delegates submitting their work for the “Prize Paper Category” are requested to follow the same format as for Oral Presentation. After a two level evaluation, abstracts would be shortlisted for consideration for prize category. At this stage the authors would be intimated to submit their complete study which would be further scrutinized and selected for the prize category.
Abstracts that are not selected for Prize Paper Category will be moved to Free Paper Category.
Click on the “Submit Abstract” menu in the home page or Scientific page. You will be asked to enter the Conference registration number. You may choose to receive OTP through mail or mobile number. Once you confirm your mobile/mail, you will be asked to enter the category (Delegate or PG trainee). Follow the instructions to submit the abstract.
Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official Congress Book / JMOS Supplement edition.
Your abstract text should be no more than 250 words, including references.
There is to be a maximum of two key references.
Use standard abbreviations only. Within the body of the abstract, when using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
Your abstract should follow the following structure where applicable: Background, Research Aims/Objectives, Methods, Results/Findings and Conclusions.
NO images, graphs or tables are allowed.
Tables – A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract.
Graphs and images – It is important to note that each image included in the abstract is worth 30 words. A maximum of 5 images can be included per abstract. The maximum file size of each graph/image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. You may upload graphs in JPG, GIF or PNG format.
During "Abstract Submission” You will be required to provide the following details prior to uploading the abstract file:

Presentation Type (Preference only).
Theme.
Name and Institution of all Co-Presenters and Co - Authors.
Your Completed Abstract (Following the Template).
All abstracts must be prepared according to the guidelines provided. Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be returned to the author and must be re-submitted immediately in the correct format to be considered for inclusion in the program.
All fields on the online abstract submission form must be completed.
Abstracts must be submitted by the presenting author who should complete all fields on the online submission form.
